Read common printer error codes
What paper, ink, carriage and wireless codes usually mean.
- Write down the exact code and the full message (including flashing lights if there is no screen).
- Paper or jam codes: clear every path, then power-cycle. See the paper jam article.
- Ink/toner codes: reseat supplies, confirm the SKU, then run a test page. See cartridge not recognized.
- Carriage or “printer failure” codes: power off, unplug 60 seconds, check for packing tape or a jammed carriage.
- Wireless codes: reconnect Wi‑Fi, check IP, then add the printer again on the PC.
- If the same code returns immediately, contact PrintNexa with brand, model, OS and the code — that is enough to diagnose remotely.
Technician notes
- A photo of the screen is more useful than a paraphrase.
- Blinking patterns without a screen still count — describe color and blink count.
